Electronics manufacturer ViewSonic has officially announced the forthcoming launch of its first tablet products in the ViewPad 7 Android tablet and the ViewPad 10 Windows 7/Android dual-boot tablet.
The ViewPad 7 features a 7-inch WVGA resolution touch display with Android 2.2, cellular radio with HSPA support, a 3.0 megapixel rear camera, a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front camera for video chat, 512MB of RAM, microSDHC slot and up to 10 hours of battery life.
The ViewPad 10 features both Android 1.6 and Windows 7 Home Premium along with a 1.66GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, a 16GB SSD, microSDHC slot,a 1.3-megapixel webcam and a 10-inch 1024 x 600 resolution LED backlit multi-touch display. Microsoft Office is also included as well as Adobe Flash support and videoconferencing software.
Pricing is set at $479 for the ViewPad 7 while the ViewPad 10 will be available in Q1 2011 for $629.
