Mobile messaging application Viber has updated its mobile messaging service to include a premium outgoing call service identical to SkypeOut. With Viber Out, credit can be bought with an in-app purchase from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store with the latest update, or with a credit card via Viber Desktop.
Additionally, Viber Out has a significantly lower price-per-call than other competing services due to lower per minute rates and the omission of connection fees. Viber Out also addresses the main concern of many users that use and rely on premium outgoing call service on VoIP applications, by showing the users real mobile number through Caller ID and also integrates the phone’s address book. The update with ViberOut functionality is now available for Android on Google Play, with iOS and Windows Phone updates rolling out later on.
