Earlier today, Verizon Wireless and Kyocera Wireless Corporation released the KPC680 ExpressCard with CDMA2000 1x EV-DO Rev.A technology. It features a revamped detachable, corkscrew flip-up antenna design, dual external antenna ports enabling better reception and performance, a dual color LED service status indicator and a smaller compact design measuring in at 4.49" (H) x 1.34" (W) x 0.2" (D).
Available for immediate purchase online or through Verizon’s business sales channels, the KPC680 won’t arrive at local Verizon Wireless Communications Stores until November 30th. This device is priced at $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and new two-year customer agreement.
Verizon’s EV-DO Rev.A network advertises typical download speeds of 600 Kbps – 1.4 Mbps and upload speeds of 500-800 Kbps. BroadbandAccess service begins at $59.99 a month by selecting either a 1 yr. or 2 yr. commitment and is available in 245 major metropolitan areas.
