TellMe Networks, the platform developer behind its eponymous voice activated search service has announced that it has developed a search client for the BlackBerry. The developer cited prior experience with the Java Mobile Edition platform as the main reason for the client release on the BlackBerry series of devices rather than releasing a Windows Mobile client first, owing to the recent acquisition of the company by Microsoft.
The search client features Microsoft Live Search GPS assisted results, voice control, access to movie showtimes, business search, traffic and waether conditions, maps, and driving directions all by pressing the talk button once the application is installed on the device.
The application is now available from TellMe networks as a direct download to the BlackBerry Pearl 8100, 8800, 8820, 8830, and 8310
This has been out since June of 2007. Won 3 major awards in mid 2007 and is the core the Sprint Live Search for all of these devices plus tons of other phones.
