Talkatone for iOS Allows Direct Google Voice Calls Over 3G/Wi-Fi

A new VOIP app for iOS in Talkatone is another of the increasing number of apps that allows for VOIP calls over 3G and Wi-Fi, but what makes it unique is a hidden feature to use Google Voice to direct dial a contact without needing GMail/GTalk as the intermediary or using the cellular connection.  The app is free and is available now. A setup guide for Google Voice over 3G/VOIP is also available if it doesn’t work right after install.

    Finally, an app that allows ‘Google Voice’ to truly reach its potential on the iPhone/iPod. None too late and worth the wait.
