After first being launched on the 17th, T-Mobile has officially announced the 10-line expansion of its Simple Choice family plans that will allow families to add up to 10 lines, either by porting over existing lines from other carriers or adding new lines well past the typical 5-line limit.
Initially, the expansion was originally meant to launch on the 17th along with the revamped family plans, but T-Mobile has confirmed that it will launch on Wednesday, August 27th. Simple Choice subscribers will then be add new lines to their plan for $10 each after the second line and add up to 10 lines, where the current limit stands at 6. T-Mobile cites the expansion in response to demand from large families as well as small business that need more than 5 lines, but do not otherwise qualify for more expensive enterprise plans.
Each Simple Choice line features unlimited voice/messaging/2G data and 1GB of LTE data access per month, with unlimited LTE data available for an additional $30 per line. T-Mobile’s Simple Choice plans also include 2G data and text messaging while abroad, as well as free music streaming in the U.S while doing away with overages. T-Mobile is also increasing the data available to tablets attached to Simple Choice plans beginning on September 3, as customers will be able to add a tablet to their plan for an additional $10 per month and T-Mobile will match the smartphone data allotment to the tablet, up to 5GB per month.
