Not long after launching the MyTouch 4G, the carrier is pushing out the first firmware update for the device designed to address battery life and video call quality once the phones are activated within 48 hours. The update will be rolling out for the next three weeks and pushes the version number up to version 1.17 from the launch firmware of 1.14.
