T-Mobile has announced the Wednesday launch of a new single line unlimited plan on Even More and Even More Plus plans for $79.99 and $59.99 respectively. The plan features unlimited data* (up to 2GB before throttling), unlimited domestic calling, and messaging, with an additional $5 surcharge for BlackBerry owners.
Update: T-Mobile has sent out an internal memo to employees stating that the $59.99 Even More Plus offering as detailed in the press release was in error and should not be offered to customers. Meanwhile, various reports confirm that the offering is still available to customers and is still active. The memo goes on to state that the plan will be removed completely overnight. Those that were able to acquire the $59.99 offering will be allowed to keep the plan as originally detailed.
Update 2: T-Mobile has issued the following statement regarding the situation, contradicting the internal employee memo and its own press release from yesterday:
“T-Mobile did not officially announce any rate plans yesterday, and the company doesn’t comment on rumors or speculation. Today, T-Mobile officially announced a new, single-line unlimited plan that is available starting today for just $79.99 per month, with an Even More plan and a two-year contract.”
Update 3: Customers that have acquired the canceled $59.99 offering are reporting receiving the following information for the plan via the MyT-Mobile account management portal and via text message:
Promo EM+ 2GB 4G Unl DTT SP11
Unlimited Whenever Minutes
Unlimited Weekend Minutes
Unlimited Weeknight Minutes
4G Web – Unlimited
I can’t find the unlimited 59.99 plan on their site. Only one there is the 79.99.
They don’t post EM+ info on their site anymore. You have to inquire about it in the stores and activate those plans there.
Update: T-Mobile has aborted the Even More Plus version of the plan, and has ordered stores to not sell it to anyone, despite it being loaded in many store terminals.
That is too bad for the consumers & T-Mobile, they killed their two tier presentation, by this rather very poor execution of the promo delivery.
In the words of “Bottomline”, “fantastic” for the Comp…!
Thank You
