T-Mobile has officially launched the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220, the first clamshell BlackBerry device manufactured by Canadian platform developer and hardware manufacturer Research In Motion.
The BlackBerry Pearl Flip features quadband GSM/EDGE, Wi-Fi radio with WPA encryption, UMA support for phone calls via T-Mobile HotSpot@Home, QVGA internal display, converged QWERTY SureType keyboard, trackball navigation, microSDHC expansion slot, media player, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder and flash, speakerphone, and Bluetooth with stereo audio support.
The device is now available from T-Mobile for $349.99 retail or $199.99 after $150 instant online discount and new 2 year agreement before an additional $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $149.99.
