T-Mobile has placed the forthcoming T-Mobile G2 Android smart device up for a limited pre-order for current customers ahead of its October 6th launch for $249.99 after a new 2 year agreement before an additional $50 rebate, bringing the total to $199.99. The G2 features Qualcomm’s MSM7230 chipset codenamed Scorpion which is a variant of the Snapdragon series clocked at 800MHz and featuring an updated GPU.
The rest of the featureset consists of Android 2.2, 3.7-inch capacitive touch display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5.0 megapixel camera with autofocus/LED flash/720p video recording, HSPA+ support, Swype virtual keyboard, and 4GB of internal memory with a preinstalled 8 GB microSD memory card.
