T-Mobile Details Vibrant Froyo Update: Over The Wire Only, Optional and No OTA

T-Mobile Vibrant UpdateInternal T-Mobile documentation has clarified the status of the long awaited Samsung Vibrant update in an answer to an employee question posted on its dedicated support portal.

Samsung is positioning the update as an optional update instead of a mandatory update, will require the installation of their Mini Kies desktop updater, will not be delivered OTA and will add Wi-Fi calling amongst other core Froyo enhancements/additions.
