T-Mobile Debuts New Complete Prepaid Option with BlackBerry Curve 8520

T-Mobile CompleteT-Mobile has announced the debut of T-Mobile Complete, which is a new hybrid monthly prepaid option that is set up to compete with MetroPCS and Cricket with intention to draw the Hispanic market.

The service plans are also similar to the aformentioned carriers and T-Mobile’s own Even More Plus no-contract unlimited plans, but offers the first month of service for free and no credit check in line with regional flat rate carriers such as Cricket.

The plans consist of unlimited talk at $50/month; unlimited talk and text at $60/month or unlimited talk, text and Web access for $80/month with an option for unlimited text messaging bundled with 1,000 minutes, unlimited nights/weekends and unlimited in-network calling also available for $50 per month.

The service will also herald the debut of the BlackBerry Curve 8520 on a prepaid service in the US as the $80 unlimited talk/text/web plan includes BIS access along with the Samsung Gravity, Samsung t239 and the Samsung t229 being the first phones and devices sold under the new offering.

Package prices start at $59.99 for the t229 package and are now available at Best Buy and select Wal-Mart locations.

This is the first pre-paid Blackberry I have heard of. It is a great idea. I would expect to see one from Boost and the others

You can already use a Blackberry on many of the prepaid services out there (Page Plus, Boost, Cricket, etc). Those services are all cheaper than this T-Mobile offering too. And if that wasn’t already enough, Page Plus is on the much better Verizon network…

And don’t forget that metroPCS has had the curve for months now.
