After weeks of rumor and speculation culminating in FCC filings, T-Mobile has officially announced the forthcoming launch of the Sony Xperia Z Android flagship.
The phone will support T-Mobile’s nascent 4G LTE network and is otherwise identical to the model currently sold internationally with a 5-inch 1080p HD display with Sony’s Bravia Engine 2 display technology, a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel EXMOR camera sensor with Fast Capture technology, and improved power efficiency through what Sony calls its STAMINA battery conservation software.
While T-Mobile has yet to confirm pricing or availability details, the carrier has opened a dedicated registration page for more information via email when available. Outside of the Xperia Z, Sony Mobile also sells variants of the Z flagship via its SonyStyle online store in the ZL as an unlocked device, but has not sold the Z flagship directly.
