Swype Officially Available On Google Play As Premium Keyboard App

After years of betas and hacks from custom ROMs, the first officially licensed version of the alternative Swype keyboard for Android is now available for all Android devices from FroYo on up for a special launch price of 0.99¢ for a limited time.

Previous to this version being made available, the Swype keyboard was an exclusive preloaded keyboard option for selected devices that was not available for all Android users unless devices were rooted and ran custom ROMs which were usually preloaded with the Swype keyboard, sourced from other stock ROMs.

The alternative keyboard now features the following capabilities to celebrate the official release:
