Swiss technology developer Starhome has filed suit against AT&T and T-Mobile alleging that both carriers have violated its patents centering on the use of shortcodes instead of the typical long number strings typically required for voicemail access while abroad and toll-free calling service provided by European car rental agencies provided to the aforementioned carriers.
Starhome has filed the suit in the state of Delaware and has involved another company by the name of Roamware based in San Diego California while seeking to block AT&T and T-Mobile from offering such services to its customers while traveling. Neither AT&T nor T-Mobile have officially released comments relating to the suit.
Yet another patent troll looking to make life difficult for people. This quote says it all:
“Starhome has filed the suit in the state of Delaware and has involved another company by the name of Roamware based in San Diego California while seeking to block AT&T and T-Mobile from offering such services to its customers while traveling.”
In other words, we want customer of AT&T and T-Mobile to have as difficult a time as possible accessing their voicemail while traveling.
Starhome and their minions should be thrown out of court and made to pay all expenses.
