Following up on the initial announcement of the Samsung Precedent for Straight Talk, the virtual operator has confirmed that the phone will be available for pre-order starting tomorrow. Those that registered their email at the time of the initial announcement will be sent another email to confirm intentions to pre-order the phone and subsequently complete the purchase and activation of the mid-range Android phone, which will be priced at $149.88 and be made available exclusively online. The phone is set to be released in the middle of September.
As previously reported, the Samsung Galaxy Precedent will usher in a new deal with Sprint to provide service for the phone while the phone is identical to the Prevail on Boost Mobile with a 3.2 inch capacitive display at HVGA resolution, 800MHz processor with 384MB of RAM, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi, 2.0 megapixel camera with video capture and microSD slot. The phone will go live for ordering tomorrow, though it is currently not live at the time of this post (Thursday, 12:20 AM CDT).
Update: The pre-order page for the Samsung Precedent is now live on the main Straight Talk page.
