Within 48 hours of Sprint announcing they intend to purchase affiliate US Unwired, a move that would remove their motion to block the Sprint Nextel merger, UbiquiTel has followed suit.
UbiquiTel (also known by many readers as UbiquiHell�) is a Sprint affiliate who operates in several states. They, like US Unwired, are arguing that the iDEN portion of Sprint Nextel’s new network would compete with UbiquiTel and constitute a violation of Sprint’s no-competition clause in their affiliate agreement.
