It has been about 8 months since the release of the Palm Treo 755p and just yesterday, Palm release a much awaited update to the Treo 755p bringing the firmware version to Treo755p-1.07-SPNT. Currently, the only mention of what this update entails is that it is “a tune-up that improves audio, stability, software quality and device usability.” Palm goes on further to mention that the update could take up to an hour to complete.
Initial postings on Treonauts report that the update has incorporated changes that were included with the Palm Centro and that users are finding the operating system to be noticeably “snappier.”

Firmware Tracker Updated…
does anyone know if the 755 has Activesync?
Just updated my Sprint 755p to v1.07 using the Mini-SD method, and everything went smoothly. I got a little nervous during the ROM update stage – it stated it would take five minutes, but took closer to eleven – I breathed a sigh of relief when it did the first reset and continued updating the firmware.
The device does seem to be quite a bit more responsive now. I haven’t seen any additional features yet, but I’ve only played with it for a few minutes so far.
