Sprint has announced an expansion of its Buy Back cell phone recycling program in a press release this morning. Sprint will now accept up to three handsets per line of service and offer account credits. Over 900 phones are eligible for the Buy Back program according to Sprint and include devices from nearly all manufacturers, including phones from other carriers.
Buy Back credits range from $5 to $300 depending on device and condition. Customers are also able to take old phones to Sprint-owned retail stores and receive instant credit towards the purchase of new phones and/or accessories. Sprint is also providing online tools that customers can use to determine the value of old phones if considering them for recycling.
