Within the past week, Sprint has shutdown their online activation web site, activate.sprintpcs.com and it now forwards to their online store. The site had become extremely deprecated, unable to activate any PDA, or swap phones for most current customers. Considering that the site provided use only to customers who currently had a non-Vision phone, to most readers the site was rendered useless.

It is unknown if Sprint will replace the service with a more functional version, or if they will continue on their position of directing customers to call customer service to change handsets.
