Sprint has announced the release of the Blackberry Curve 3G. The Curve 3G will also be updated to BlackBerry 6 in the future. The Curve 3G adds several new and upgraded features for users such as:
- 512 MB Flash memory plus a MicroSD/SDHC slot for up to 32GB of media storage, 2GB card included
- Visual Voicemail
- Textured battery door and new chrome-like finish
The Curve 3G will be available in Graphite Gray or Royal Purple beginning Sunday, Sept. 26, through Sprint’s web site and telesales. It will retail for $49.99 with a new two-year service agreement, after a $100 mail-in rebate. It will be available in stores beginning Sunday, Oct. 10.
Isn’t the Bold 9650 also BBOS6 ready?
Hi Ben, we’ve removed that part of the article. The article inferred that Curve 3G was the first phone to come out as being advertised with OS 6-ready status. The Bold is poised to be updated to OS 6 as well, but was launched without any promises to that end (since OS 6 hadn’t launched yet).
