Sprint has announced the forthcoming launch of its second eco-friendly phone for Sprint in the Samsung Restore, a messaging and multimedia oriented phone similar to the Reclaim.
Samsung claims the Restore is the first mobile phone to be manufactured out of 84% post consumer recycled material and features other green-friendly bullet points such as a 100% compliant Energy Star 2.0 charger with its packaging being 100% recyclable. The user manual for the phone will also not be included in the aforementioned packaging, instead being made available on launch day as a downloadable PDF.
Technical specifications for the phone consist of a sliding QWERTY keyboard and 12 key dial pad, microSDHC expansion slot with support for 32GB cards, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder and GPS support.
The phone will be available for $49.99 after new 2 year agreement and rebates this summer.
