According to the internal staging site for Virgin Mobile’s handset lineup, the resurgent virtual operator will be launching an unknown Kyocera model and its own variant of the Samsung Intercept, which would make it the first Android device for the operator. The Samsung Intercept is currently being offered by Sprint as a mid-range offering below the Epic 4G.
PhoneNews.com was also the first to confirm that the mid-range Intercept will be updated to Android 2.2 more commonly known as Froyo, though the timeframe for the update was not given in the initial report
