The FCC has granted formal approval for the forthcoming Samsung Epic 4G due to be released by Sprint next month.
As previously reported during its official announcement, the Epic 4G features a 4 inch Super AMOLED display, Android 2.1 customized with Samsung’s additions of DLNA media streaming support and its own Social Hub software along with Wi-Fi b/g/n radio, front facing camera for video calls and 5.0 megapixel camera with 720p video recording and autofocus..
Rounding out the spec sheet is Bluetooth with stereo audio support and an accelerometer with 6 axis support for motion control when playing games; the device will also support mobile hotspot functionality over WiMax.
