Samsung has announced a new model in its Galaxy A series slate of mid-range Android smartphones in the A7. The phone features high-end specifications starting with a 5-5 inch HD display, a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera with new tools for self portraits.
The phone will also include 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage in two configurations depending on market with either a Samsung Exynos or Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and it will also include a microSD slot with support for cards up to 64GB. Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and WiFi radios are also included, and the phone will also support LTE Cat 4 transfer speeds with a maximum speed of 150Mbps. A 2,600mAh battery rounds out the specifications for the phone and it will launch with Android 4.4 KitKat bundled with Samsung’s TouchWiz software and suite of services. Samsung will launch the phone in three colors with no immediate word on pricing or launch date.
