According to the British ITProPortal, Sony is expected to release the Sony Ericsson Zeus Z1 next March after its debut during Mobile World Congress in February.  The phone will also be known as the Playstation Phone rather than the current PSPhone tag appended to the device with a further presentation during Germany’s CeBit conference the first week of March.
Specifications for the device are currently fixed with the 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655, 1GB of ROM, 512MB of RAM, the display is 3.7 inches in diameter with a 16:9 aspect ratio, a microSDHC slot along with a 5.0 megapixel camera with flash and 720p video capture. The early hardware also features a sliding gamepad with the familiar Playstation layout, with the exception of a multi-touch analog pad between the directional pad and action keys.
In related news, further evidence of the Playstation Phone has surfaced courtesy of the Gingerbread SDK, where references to the Playstation control layout were discovered within the development environment.
