If you just happen to own a Samsung i300, i330, i500, or Treo 180/270/300, Palm has shut off your ability to surf the web. Palm has turned off the proxy servers used by Blazer web browsers versions 1 and 2, and in their place have offered a third-party browser, nWeb, as a free replacement.
While offering an alternative browser is not a breach of services, nWeb has many outstanding issues that Palm has not addressed. Palm has also said they will not offer a ROM update for Treo, meaning this browser will take significant portions of RAM to store the application. In addition, Palm has said nWeb will no longer be offered for free after the end of this month, meaning you have 72 hours to download the application (which, in Palm’s defense was offered as early as the end of September…), or find an alternative comparable web browser (or, buy nWeb).
