Palm has officially confirmed the Eos webOS device as the Pixi headed for Sprint sometime this holiday season while the Pre is expected to receive a $50 price reduction. The device is identical to the renders and speculation earlier this year with a less powerful Qualcomm MSM7627 processor combined with new software.
The rest of the featureset consists of 8GB storage onboard, 2.0 megapixel camera with flash and video recorder, a full QWERTY keyboard, and a 2.63-inch 320 x 400 resolution capacitive touch display with the customary ringer on / off switch and 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as a removable 1150mAh battery. Unlike the Pre, the Pixi will not feature a Wi-Fi radio and will solely depend on its EV-DO radio.
I wonder if like th Palm Pre you will be required to have A Simply Everything plan?
The palm pre has gone down to $150 already on the sprint site. This phone might also require the everything plan but like the hero, if your on a sero plan they might let you get it without changing your plan. As long as the sprint csr’s keep their word.
any accurate date on release of the pixie? I would wait if it will be soon.
