We’d like to take a moment to spotlight Orb. Orb has been growing, and growing, and growing to a point where it has reached an almost iTunes-like popularity in the technocratic world. Well, they’re at it again. Orb, when combined with your home PC, will now stream live television to your MM-class Sprint phone. For free. We’ve been monitoring Orb for quite awhile now, and it’s the talk of the forums whenever a PPC-6600 owner leverages it, but now, it’s not a niche for PDA/Phone devices anymore…
All you have to do is download and install the free Orb client, set up TV (or, upgrade to a Media Center 2005 PC), and then log into Orb from your MM-class phone. It’s that easy, and best of all, it appears to work as good, if not better, than Sprint TV. Now, we’ve only verified this on an LG MM-535, however, it should work on all Sprint TV phones.
