Opera has announced the availability of the latest beta version of Opera Mini 5 for Android devices.
The updated beta features Speed Dial, tabbed browsing and bookmark sync as well as support for virtual keyboards and a download/password manager. The only exception is the lack of support for multitouch gestures.
The download is available here, as well as on the Android Market. Unlike Apple, Google has accepted and approved competing web browsers using other engines. Opera Mini is also available in beta for Windows Mobile, but has been conspicuously absent from the Windows Mobile Marketplace.
