The third generation Nokia Tablet hit retail stores across the US this week. The N810 offers a newly redesigned slide-out keyboard, built-in GPS, a high-resolution 4.13" WVGA display (800 x 480 pixels), 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, high quality stereo speakers and a sensitive microphone for all those VOIP calls you’ll be making over WiFi. This device is powered by the Texas Instruments OMAP 2420 Processor running at a blazing 400 MHz which is more than enough computing power for little gadget and its user friendly operating system.


The N810 Tablet comes fully loaded with maemo Linux-based OS2008 which offers the end user a highly customizable interface and the opportunity to easily install new applications and applets. It is bundled with a Mozilla web browser, multiple communications programs, a full featured media application and a functional map with an optional 3 year navigation subscription priced at $129.99. Messaging allows connectivity with Gtalk, Skype and Gizmo Project while the mail application allows support for IMAP, STMP and POP3 services. It supports the following video formats: 3GP, AVI, WMV, MP4, H263, H.264, MPEG-1, MPEG-4, RV (RealVideo) as well as the following audio formats: MP3, WMA, AAC, AMR, AWB, M4A, MP2, RA (RealAudio), WAV. It can read PDFs and to top it off, it comes with a full desktop Adobe Flash 9 plugin which includes video and audio streaming.
