Location based solutions developer Navigon has updated its increasingly popular MobileNavigator navigation app for the iPhone with a litany of new features, which include 3D terrain view, a 3D panorama view for an additional charge and in-app connectivity with Facebook and Twitter for status updates with geolocation data along with improved pedestrian functionality.
The new version also adds new functionality called MyRoutes, which allows for analysis of driving habits, patterns, location and time of day in order to provide up to three routes clearly displayed in-map with Estimated Time of Arrival, distance and driving times for each.
The updated application is now on sale on the App Store for $69.99, $20 less than its regular price until February 15th with the real-time traffic add-on being on sale for $19.99 in the same timeframe and the 3D panrama view add-on is an additional $9.99.
Can you delete the app and reinstall it to get the latest maps? How well do these new features work?
I’m waiting on Tele Nav to do this and add street view too. Sprint Nav will never get it, that’s still waiting on customizable voice/cursor.
Jeff, the map version data is the same as when the app first shipped. Presumably, newer maps will be offered via in-app purchasing, based on when you bought the app originally.
