Reuters has filed a report stating that ZTE is in “successful negotiations” with Sprint to supply the carrier with handsets based on the forthcoming WiMax network.
ZTE Vice President of Marketing Xiong Hui made the statement with the help of a translator during the MWC today and also stated the wireless equipment manufacturers intentions to grow further in the US market while declining to elaborate further on the Sprint-ZTE talks.
ZTE is a new manufacturer in the US market and recently launched the C88 clamshell on regional CDMA carrier Metro PCS.
