Samsung and T-Mobile have announced the forthcoming T-Mobile Memoir at the MWC Expo in Barcelona after months of leaks and speculation. The phone will be launched on February 25th as an exclusive for T-Mobile USA and is set at $249.99 after new 2 year agreement and rebates.
Model and photographer Helena Christensen will serve as the official spokesperson for the phone, as she debuted a gallery of portraits taken with the phone as part of the debut.
The phone will feature quadband GSM/EDGE and single band HSDPA data access, a WQVGA resolution display with the TouchWiz user interface and a virtual QWERTY keyboard with haptic feedback, proximity sensor, microSDHC expansion slot, media player, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, and GPS support.
In keeping with the imaging focus of the Memoir, the phone features an 8.0 megapixel CMOS camera with xenon flash, blink detection, face detection, anti-shake to reduce blur, and geo-tagging on top of 60fps video recording, TV output, and onboard image editing.
