Mozilla Launches Fennec Mobile Browser Alpha for PC and the N810

Mozilla has announced the first alpha release of its future mobile browser currently codenamed “Fennec”.

The alpha release is available for Windows, Mac OS X, the Nokia N810 internet device, and Linux.  The browser is a project by the Mozilla Foundation to bring the power of the Firefox browser to an increasing amount of smart devices and low resource devices, with an emphasis on touch displays.  The browser features full support for gesture controls, CSS, and varying degrees of zoom for easier navigation on resolution limited devices.

    Sounds like there is a good chance of this working on the iPhone/iPod Touch if Apple will allow it.

    I can’t wait to try it on my BlackBerry.
