Over at our corporate homepage, we posted a few updates about MobileEdition.
To recap, MobileEdition is our exciting new iPhone software-as-a-service tool. For absolutely zero dollars, we’ll take your blog, and build an App Store app, customized just for your blog. We cover all the bases, putting you in the driver’s seat as to how you want to market your blog on the App Store (you can even offer the app for free, with a share of the mobile ad revenue). Best of all, it doesn’t interfere with your desktop-browsing experience… iPhone users can continue to load your site in Safari (sans mobile formatting), giving them a clear chose as to how they want to read your blog.
This week, our updates focus on some new features, and touch on when your apps will start to appear on the App Store.
For starters, we did promise expansion beyond simply WordPress blogs. We are now accepting sign ups for Top-Tiered Bloggers on every platform (even in-house platforms). There’s no wait list involved if you have 100,000 or more readers per month. We’ll get you onto the App Store with a streamlined process.
This is all powered by some intensive behind-the-scenes cloud computing. As such, we can’t offer it to every blogger on the planet just yet. But, we’re working on it. And, if you are using WordPress, we encourage you to keep signing up for the wait list.
As to when MobileEdition-enhanced blogs are going to show up on the App Store, great question. They’ll be coming online over the next few weeks. First, MechaWorks sites will get the MobileEdition treatment. This will give you a hands-on look at what the sites will feel like.
