Microsoft has announced that the successor version of Windows after the current Windows 7 will feature full support for ARM-based processors.
Microsoft has also announced that it has demonstrated the next version of Windows running on new platforms from Intel running on x86 architecture and from NVIDIA, Qualcomm and Texas Instruments on ARM. Steven Sinofsky, president of the Windows and Windows Live Division at Microsoft made the following statement:
