In a press release this morning, Sprint and Microsoft revealed two new search services that take advantage of both GPS and voice activated search.
The first program immediately available is a variant of Windows Live Search with support for built-in GPS on many Sprint phones integrated into the Sprint WAP deck.
The search tool can narrow down specific locations down to the immediate vicinity of the device as well as search the entire Sprint WAP deck for content and information.
The second tool is a variant of Windows Live Search with voice search support built-in using technology from the recent acquisition of TellMe Networks and GPS support for real-time search of specific locations using only voice instead of needing to type in location names.
The voice search tool will be provided free of charge as an application download, the only cost being data usage with no launch date available at this time.
