MetroPCS has decided to revive one of its most popular single-line promotional plans with the launch of another limited-time $50 unlimited plan with unlimited LTE data access. The latest promotion will run until April 5th unless it proves more popular than expected, which opens up the possibility of a further extension.
The plan is limited to LTE-capable smartphones with MetroPCS branding such as the Samsung Galaxy Light being offered for $49 and the LG F60 for $59 and is not available for customers wishing to bring an unlocked device. MetroPCS has also increased data on its standard $40 and $50 plans by 1GB, with 2GB and 4GB of data now available on each respective plan, with these plans being available for BYOD service. This promotional plan was common for the carrier when it first began offering LTE on its former CDMA network.
