MetroPCS has opened a dedicated portal for its 4G LTE network as well as launching service in Las Vegas. The carrier has also named the additional markets slated for rollout this year in to the next, with email registration available for more information. The following markets will have LTE service rolled out by MetroPCS in the future:
As previously reported, the Samsung Craft features a 3.2 inch WVGA (800×480) resolution AMOLED touch display, Wi-Fi radio, dual-mode CDMA EVDO/LTE support, microSDHC expansion slot, 3.2 megapixel camera with flash and video capture, GPS support along with stereo Bluetooth support.
The two new service plans for the device start at $55 with all taxes and fees included, which features unlimited voice, directory assistance, data, messaging, email access (personal/email) and use of MetroNavigator along with Loopt access. The $60 plan includes access to the carrier’s new MetroSTUDIO multimedia service, which consists of video on demand, over the air music downloads and ringtone purchases among other services.
With the launch of the Craft and LTE service, MetroPCS has effectively beaten Verizon Wireless to the commercial launch of LTE service in the United States and the first to launch an LTE phone in the Craft
Ok, how long until we see some end-user speed tests?
