Deal: Kingston SSDNow V100+ 64 GB SATA SSD w/ USB Enclosure – $60 After Rebate

Kingston SSDNow V100+Staples is offering the Kingston SSDNow V100+ 64 GB SATA SSD drive with a USB 2.0 enclosure for $89.99. A $30 Staples Easy Rebate brings the total cost of the drive to $59.99.

The USB 2.0 enclosure is bundled as an “upgrade kit” for laptops, to make it easier to swap out a hard drive with a new, speedy SSD.

Kingston SSDNow V100+ is not the fastest SSD on the market, but does have one key advantage; it provides TRIM-like functionality without the need of OS drivers or chipset support. That makes this drive better for older MacBooks and other hardware that may not talk to TRIM drives properly.

I happily followed your tip this past Nov 28, 2011, tried to order the Motorola triumph with Virgin Mobile at the special price, plus the active coupon code “SAVE 20%” for an additional 20% off that sale price. I could not complete the transaction online; I proceeded to call the telephone number (888-322-1122) given to me online to complete my transaction.
I was informed by the representative (Mark) that he’d try to complete it for me. I was put on hold while he checked my coupon code, he returned and informed me that the coupon was active, however the phone was out of stock. He replied that he was not sure when the phone would be in stock, but would create a ticket for me (# 3-44683437364) so that when the phone is available I’d be able to get it at the sale price, plus my 20% off coupon. Once again I was placed on hold while he verified the information with his supervisor. I was reassured that I’d be able to purchase the phone as stated. I will be called, at which point I gave an alternate phone number to be contacted once the phone was in stock. When I asked, I was advised that it was quite alright to call and check if I wanted to; just give my ticket number, all the information regarding the sale price and the 20% off coupon would be reflected.
When I called today (Nov 30) to check up on stock availability I was told by Victor yes the phone is in stock and he’d process it for me. I told him my ticket number, however to my disappointment I was told that I’d have to pay the full price ($299.99) because the special price was only on that day; they could not and would not be able to sell it to me for $149, only the 20% off coupon could be honored. I went on to talk to Edwin then Usiel, all told me there was no way possible they’d be able to sell me the phone for $149.
I may be just one insignificant peon with a $25/month no contract plan, but I’m still a valuable customer with a voice.
I told them I did not want to hear that I was misinformed or that a mistake was made, I just want one decent and honest person at Virgin Mobile to honor their word and sell me that phone for $149 plus that additional 20% off as promised.
There’s enough deceitful practice and injustice out there.
    Very disappointed,
    Doris
