Spain’s GeeksPhone, the manufacturer best known for manufacturing the first Firefox OS devices has announced pricing and launch details for its frequently teased Revolution dual-OS smartphone, which runs both Android and Firefox OS simultaneously in a dual-OS configuration. The launch is set for February 20th in Europe at €289 (US$394) with an online early bird promotion knocking €20 off of the initial price. GeeksPhone has yet to announce official US pricing for the phone.
The phone features a 4.7-inch IPS display with qHD resolution, 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB internal storage with a microSD card slot. The phone also features an 8.0 megapixel main camera and 1.3 megapixel front facing camera with the 8 megapixel unit supporting video capture at 1080p and 30 fps all underpinned by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor running at 1.6 GHz with Firefox OS 1.3 and Android 4.2.2.
