The long awaited Garmin-Asus Nuvifone G60 is scheduled to launch on October 4th for $299 after a $100 mail in rebate.
For those of you that have forgotten about the device, the the G60 will feature a Linux-based operating system with a 3.5 inch WVGA widescreen resistive touch display, quadband GSM/EDGE and triband HSDPA access, LBS services with preloaded maps for the US or Europe, A-GPS support, GPS transceiver, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, speakerphone, Wi-Fi radio, 3.0 megapixel camera with autofocus and video recorder, microSDHC expansion slot, and HTML web browser.
This follows up previous reporting on pricing for the device which is now set at $549.99 Retail/No Commitment, $374.99 on a 1 year agreement and $299.99 after a new 2 year agreement and $100 mail-in rebate.
