FreedomPop has officially launched a tablet offering for its service, with the Sprint versions of the Apple iPad Mini and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 being offered for sale directly from the MVNO along with allowing activations of the same tablets for those that already own compatible models. Pricing for the tablets from FreedomPop is set at $319 for the iPad mini and the 16 GB Samsung Tab 3 for $199, with FreedomPop’s stock consisting of refurbished models.
FreedomPop will offer tablet owners 500 MB of LTE data, 200 voice minutes and 500 texts per month for free, much like its standard free plan for smartphones. Customers can also pay $10 per GB of data a la carte or $20 per month for unlimited voice, texting and data access through the dedicated FreedomPop dialer and messaging apps over Sprint LTE. While FreedomPop is not the only carrier offering free tablet data, the move to include voice and messaging means that tablets can now be used in place of smartphones at much lower rates, provided decent Sprint coverage is available and competes directly with T-Mobile’s 200MB lifetime tablet data service.
Waiting to see your service of FREEDOMPOP in Canada.
It’s that for soon or we have to wait forever?
Thanks for the feedback
