FCC Reveals Motorola VE20 for Sprint

The FCC has revealed a new midrange clamshell from Motorola destined for Sprint.

The Motorola VE20 features a large external display, touch sensitive media control buttons on the external display, indicators for Bluetooth, messages and calls, microSD expansion slot, speakerphone, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, and speakerphone.

This clamshell also adds Motorola’s new SmartKey, which according to the user manual takes a best guess at the next selection the user wants to perform.  The phone also includes Bluetooth with stereo audio support and full support for Bluetooth file transfers, which is becoming a more common feature across the Sprint lineup.

An interesting if rather curious section in the draft manual describes the process to sign up and use Sprint Voice Command, despite the feature being discontinued last June with full voice control built into the phone.

Neither Sprint nor Motorola have confirmed the device at this time.

No surprise here, I just got my PRO 700 today and it still has voice command mentioned in the manual as well as in the phone’s UI.
