Following up on last month’s approval of the BlackBerry Pearl 3G with support for AT&T 3G support, the FCC has now approved another variant of the Pearl 3G with T-Mobile 3G support in both QWERTY and SureType keyboard variants.
This follows rumors that T-Mobile has rejected the Pearl 3G for another Curve model with 3G support, with no confirmation on either model for the carrier at this time.
I’ve been waiting for this phone to come out. This would be my first smartphone and since I’m much more interested in doing business with my phone than playing games, I’ve been told that a blackberry is the phone for me. I’ve looked at all the other models and don’t like how wide they are and how small the keys are. The smaller Pearl actally has larger keys and should feel more like my current phone. I just wish they’d release the thing already.
I’m with Verizon but am thinking of switching to Sprint to save on my monthly bill. If anyone is listening, please release the phone asap.
Thanks, Tim
