The FCC has approved the first Windows Phone 7 device in the Samsung Cetus i917, destined for AT&T based on recently submitted test documentation. The device will feature a 4-inch 800 x 480 AMOLED display, 5 megapixel camera, a VGA front-facing camera (a first for an AT&T developed device), an FM radio tuner, GPS support, 802.11b/g/n WiFi radio, microUSB port and Bluetooth.
The first devices featuring Microsoft’s latest operating system are expected this holiday season, while neither Samsung nor AT&T have officially announced the Cetus at this time.
