After first being confirmed in a deleted blogpost last month, Dell has confirmed pricing and availability for the Streak Android smart device. The 5 inch tablet will be available for pre-order on Thursday August 12th, with availability on AT&T starting this Friday for $549.99 outright, or $299.99 with new 2 year agreement. Dell has also confirmed a future update to Android 2.2 later this year as the device will initially launch with Android 1.6.

Well, once they have released Android 2.2 I might reconsider. Until then, this device is not an option IMHO.
