It’s a slow news weekend, on to deals. Amazon has a sale on several Sega games, one of which being Sonic Generations for Windows. At $7.49, it’s the lowest price we’ve ever seen for the game.
We’ve been playing the game at PhoneNews.com, and while we don’t plan on reviewing it (we’re not that all-tech just yet), it certainly is worth the money at multiple times the current asking price.
Sonic Generations takes gamers through the past 20 years of Sonic the Hedgehog, providing remakes of most classic games, going through the years (and levels) in both 2D and 3D segments that mix Classic Sonic gameplay with Modern Sonic gameplay.
We do caution that it requires a powerful PC to handle Sonic Generations. Sega isn’t joking when they recommend an Intel Core i5 or better, with a Radeon HD 5850 or GeForce GT 460 or greater. Our Core i7 workhorses fitted with Radeon HD 6570s adequately handled the game, which also works with Xbox 360 USB controllers completely.
