Consumer Cellular has announced that it will launch the iPhone on its service starting on December 13th. The iPhone models will be available for purchase with the brand’s EasyPay financing program.
The program works with an upfront payment – as low as $50 depending on model chosen, then the customer pays $25 per month in addition to their normal wireless service charge until the remaining balance of the phone is paid. No interest is charged to the customer for the duration of the financing period which is fixed at 24 months. The iPhone 5s will begin at $150 for the 16GB model, the iPhone 5c starts at $100 for the 16GB model while the iPhone 4s will start at $50 for the 8GB model.
With the relatively inexpensive service plans that currently make up Consumer Cellular’s lineup, this program means that one could purchase an iPhone on the brands $10 PAYG plan for $35 a month and up after the initial upfront payment without a data plan requirement, making it a unique option for those that want an iPhone but don’t want or need additional data or messaging services. The monthly cost breakdown is posted below for reference and only factors in monthly voice service, as data service is optional.

Was really married to iPhone post my blackberry. Then the infamous potty training incident happened. I bought a cheap HTC Thunderbolt for $65 to get through contract with Verizon. Now I’m an Android guy, i just don’t see the value in the Extra dollars to get an iPhone. Is IOS better? Probably but i can get a Nexus 5 for about 1/2 price of an iPhone. So better yes, $300 better -no
